The 2019 EDIs

The Laredo Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2019 Economic Development Industry (EDI) awards that were recognized at the 2nd Annual Boots ‘n Bling Gala on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Barn Event Center in Laredo.

The Laredo EDC created the Economic Development Industry (EDI) Award to recognize industries that contribute to the economic well-being of the Laredo and Webb County region. The EDI recognition compliments the mission of the Laredo EDC to promote and foster the economic and industrial development of the Laredo region.

The 2019 EDI  honorees represent the Automotive and Custom Brokerage Industries. Recipients of the Automotive Industry award are Sames Motor Company, Powell Watson Motor Company and Paul Young Chevrolet. Recipients of the custom brokerage industry are J O Alvarez, Inc. and the RB Group represented by the Bazan family. 

In addition, the EDI award recognizes a local Development Project of the Year which will honor the Port Grande Industrial Park Development by Majestic Realty Company. The Project of the Year highlights projects that the Laredo EDC team has assisted, provides local employment, community benefits. 

Each honoree was selected by the LEDC organizing committee for their vision and commitment to our region, creating jobs and adding to the economic growth and sustainability of  Laredo and Webb County. In addition to their records of excellence, all honorees believe in giving back to our community and for that we say Thank You!
